Mushrooms

Garlic Aioli

Method

Mushrooms

  1. 1

    Prepare and Sauté Mushrooms

Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender. Mince 4 garlic cloves and add them to the skillet, stirring for an additional 2 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.

Garlic Aioli

  1. 2

    Make Garlic Aioli

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise with 2 minced garlic cloves and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and whisk until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Assemble The Garlic Mushroom

Take a piece of bread and spread a generous amount of garlic aioli on one side. Layer it with sautéed mushrooms and top with 2 slices of Swiss cheese. Place the second piece of bread on top, aioli side down. Repeat for the remaining sandwiches.

  2. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Remove from skillet and slice in half.
