BBQ Pork

Steamed Edamame

Method

BBQ Pork

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and season it with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour in the BBQ sauce and water. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Mix the shredded pork with the remaining BBQ sauce in the cooker.

Steamed Edamame

  1. 4

    Prepare the Edamame

Rinse the edamame pods under cold water.

  2. 5

    Steam the Edamame

In a steamer basket, add the edamame pods. Steam over boiling water for about 5-7 minutes, or until tender. Sprinkle with salt before serving.

Potstickers

  1. 6

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped green onions, minced ginger, and soy sauce. Mix well to combine.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Potstickers

Place a teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of each potsticker wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges to seal.

  3. 8

    Cook the Potstickers

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Arrange the potstickers in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Add 1 cup of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the water has evaporated.
