Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Crush the Oreos

In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.

  2. 2

    Melt the butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.

  3. 3

    Combine for crust

In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter, mixing until well combined.

  4. 4

    Form the crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan to form an even layer. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.

Filling Assembly

  1. 5

    Add chocolate ice cream

Scoop the chocolate ice cream into the cooled Oreo crust and spread it evenly.

  2. 6

    Add espresso ice cream

Scoop the espresso ice cream on top of the chocolate layer and spread it evenly.

  3. 7

    Freeze the pie

Cover the pie with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Topping Preparation

  1. 8

    Whip the cream

In a mixing bowl, add the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar. Whip using an electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form.

  2. 9

    Top the pie

Once the pie is firm, remove it from the freezer and spread the whipped cream evenly on top.

  3. 10

    Add chocolate shavings

Sprinkle chocolate shavings over the whipped cream for garnish.
