Method

Fried Cheesecake Filling

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheesecake Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and granulated sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  2. 2

    Add Vanilla and Egg

Add the vanilla extract and the egg to the mixture. Continue to beat until fully incorporated and the filling is smooth.

  1. 3

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 4

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.

  4. 6

    Heat Oil

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 7

    Fill and Fry Cheesecake

Scoop the cheesecake filling into a piping bag. Cut the tip of the bag and pipe the filling into small rounds (about 2 inches wide) into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  6. 8

    Drain and Cool

Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried cheesecakes from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Marionberry Sauce

  1. 9

    Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan, combine the marionberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the berries release their juices and the mixture thickens, about 10-15 minutes.

  2. 10

    Cool the Sauce

Remove from heat and let the marionberry sauce cool slightly before serving.
