Method
Chicken Strips
- 1
Prepare Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three bowls, place flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in the third.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry Chicken Strips
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary, for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Fries
- 6
Prepare Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes, then cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 7
Soak Fries
Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 8
Heat Oil for Frying
In a separate deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 9
Fry Potatoes
Carefully add the soaked potatoes to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 5-7 minutes per batch or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt and paprika.
Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce
- 10
Mix Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine honey, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise. Stir until smooth and well combined.
