Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta Shells

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the large pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Fill the Shells

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Take each cooked pasta shell and fill it generously with the ricotta filling using a spoon or piping bag.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Baking Dish

Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  3. 5

    Arrange the Shells

Place the filled shells in a single layer over the marinara sauce in the baking dish. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells.

Baking

  1. 6

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara sauce covering the shells. If desired, sprinkle chopped fresh basil on top.

  2. 7

    Bake

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  3. 8

    Cool and Serve

Allow the stuffed shells to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm and enjoy!
