Method

Preparation of Honey Garlic Sauce

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic

Mince the garlic cloves finely and set aside.

  2. 2

    Mix the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Mix well until fully blended.

Cooking Salmon

  1. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 4

    Season the Salmon

Rub the salmon fillets with olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  3. 5

    Bake the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon, ensuring each piece is well coated. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Cooking Rice

  1. 6

    Rinse the Rice

Rinse the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and prevents the rice from becoming gummy.

  2. 7

    Cook the Rice

In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed rice and 1 tsp of salt. Stir briefly, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.

  3. 8

    Fluff the Rice

Once cooked, remove the pot from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then, fluff the rice with a fork.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

Serve the baked honey garlic salmon over a bed of fluffy rice. Drizzle any remaining sauce from the baking dish over the top for added flavor.

  2. 10

    Enjoy!

Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired, and enjoy your delicious honey garlic salmon!
