Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Clean the Mushrooms

Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and set them aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.

Stuffing

  1. 4

    Stuff the Mushrooms

Using a spoon, generously fill each mushroom cap with the cheese mixture, pressing down slightly to ensure it is packed in.

Topping and Baking

  1. 5

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

  2. 6

    Add Topping

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the stuffed mushrooms.

  3. 7

    Bake the Mushrooms

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mushrooms are tender.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Remove the mushrooms from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
