Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the French Fries

  1. 4

    Cut the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and pat dry the soaked potatoes. Carefully add them to the hot oil in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  5. 8

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with salt.

Prepare the Garlic Butter

  1. 9

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.

  2. 10

    Add Garlic and Parsley

Once melted, add minced garlic cloves and chopped fresh parsley. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 11

    Season the Butter

Add a pinch of salt to the garlic butter and stir well.

Serve

  1. 12

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, arrange the grilled ribeye steak alongside a generous portion of french fries. Drizzle garlic butter over the steak.

  2. 13

    Garnish and Enjoy

Garnish with extra parsley if desired and serve immediately. Enjoy your Steak Frites!
