Prepare the Pickles
Drain the sliced pickles on a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

Make the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Batter the Pickles
Dip each pickle slice into the batter, making sure it is well coated.

Fry the Pickles
Carefully place the battered pickles into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.

Drain and Cool
Remove the fried pickles from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Mix the Sauce
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, ranch seasoning mix, hot sauce, and lemon juice.

Stir Well
Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well blended and smooth.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
