Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling your cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the drink.

Mix the Ingredients
In a shaker, combine 1 cup of vodka and 1 cup of coffee liqueur. Fill the shaker halfway with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.
