Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix just until combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties about 3/4 inch thick, making a slight indent in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up as they cook.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 5

    Slice the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and onion into rings. Rinse the lettuce leaves and pat them dry.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

Optional: Lightly toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster for 1-2 minutes.

  2. 7

    Build the Burger

Place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and onion rings. Finish with the other half of the bun.
