Yogurt Base

Method

Prepare Yogurt Base

  1. 1

Place 1 cup plain Greek yogurt in a medium bowl. Stir in 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (if using) until smooth and slightly sweetened. Taste and adjust sweetness to preference.

Prepare Fruits

  1. 2

    Prep strawberries and banana

Hull and slice strawberries until you have 1/2 cup. Peel and slice the banana to yield 1/2 cup. Place prepared fruit on a cutting board or small bowl.

  2. 3

    Prepare remaining fruit

Rinse 1/4 cup blueberries and drain. Peel and slice 1/4 cup kiwi if using. Pat fruits dry with a paper towel to avoid watering down the yogurt bowl.

Assemble Bowl

  1. 4

    Layer yogurt

Spoon the sweetened yogurt into a serving bowl and smooth the top with the back of the spoon.

  2. 5

    Arrange fruits

Neatly arrange the sliced strawberries, banana, blueberries, and kiwi (if using) on top of the yogurt in sections or scatter them for a mixed look.

  3. 6

    Add crunch and seeds

Sprinkle 1/2 cup granola evenly over one portion of the bowl, then scatter 2 tablespoons sliced almonds. Finish with 1 teaspoon chia or flax seeds if using.

  4. 7

    Finish and serve

If desired, grate 1/4 teaspoon lemon or lime zest over the top for brightness. Drizzle an additional 1/2 teaspoon honey if you like it sweeter. Serve immediately to keep the granola crunchy.
