Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and let it cool. If using, stir in the coffee liqueur.
Make Filling

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks. Set aside.

In another bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolks until smooth.

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
Assemble Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

In a rectangular dish, place a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by half of the mascarpone filling. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and the remaining filling.
Chill and Serve

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
