Salmon

Lemon Butter Sauce

Method

Prepare the Salmon

  1. 1

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the fillets and rub it in to coat evenly. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Drizzle lemon juice over the fillets and let them marinate for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, place it over medium heat on the stove.

Grill the Salmon

  1. 3

    Grill the Fillets

Once the grill is hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on the first side without moving them, until the skin is crispy.

  2. 4

    Flip and Finish Cooking

Carefully flip the fillets using a spatula. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Make the Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 5

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it is fully liquid.

  2. 6

    Add Garlic and Lemon Juice

Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Then add the lemon juice, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir to combine.

  3. 7

    Finish with Parsley

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.

Serve

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Place the grilled salmon fillets on a serving plate and drizzle the lemon butter sauce generously over the top. Serve immediately.
