Method
Beef Tenderloin
- 1
Preheat and Prepare
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Let the beef tenderloin sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
- 2
Season the Beef
Pat the beef tenderloin dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil over the surface of the meat. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and chopped fresh rosemary.
- 3
Sear the Beef
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned beef tenderloin and sear on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 4
Add Garlic and Butter
Add the garlic cloves to the skillet, then add butter on top of the beef. Spoon some of the melted butter over the tenderloin for added flavor.
- 5
Roast the Beef
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
- 6
Rest the Beef
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
