Method

Preparing the Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Clean and Season Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, season the wings with salt and black pepper, and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  3. 3

    Arrange the Wings

Place the seasoned chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Make sure the wings are spaced out and not touching.

Cooking the Wings

  1. 4

    Bake the Wings

Bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Making the Buffalo Sauce

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, butter, vinegar, and garlic powder. Heat over medium-low heat until the butter has melted, stirring occasionally.

  2. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.

Tossing the Wings

  1. 7

    Coat the Wings

Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the Buffalo sauce over them. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated in the sauce.

  2. 8

    Optional BBQ Sauce

If you prefer BBQ wings, you can skip the Buffalo sauce and instead toss the wings in your favorite BBQ sauce.

Serving

  1. 9

    Prepare to Serve

Arrange the celery sticks on a platter alongside the wings and serve with blue cheese dressing for dipping.
