1

Prepare

Chill a coupe or highball glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink.

2

Measure and combine

Add 2 oz Bombay Sapphire gin, 0.75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and shake

Add 6 ice cubes to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and the outside is frosted.

4

Strain

Discard the ice or water from the chilled glass if used. Double-strain the mixture into the chilled coupe for a short cocktail or into a rocks/highball glass filled with fresh ice for a longer serve.

5

Top (optional)

If you prefer a lighter, longer version, top the drink with 1.5 oz club soda and gently stir once to combine.

6

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lemon wheel or a lemon twist over the drink to release oils, then serve immediately.
