Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Dry using a salad spinner or pat with paper towels. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Grate the Parmesan

Using a box grater or food processor, grate the Parmesan cheese. Set aside for later use.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic clove.

Making the Dressing

  1. 4

    Combine the Dressing Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 5

    Combine Salad Ingredients

Add the grated Parmesan cheese and croutons to the bowl of romaine lettuce.

  2. 6

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad ingredients. Toss gently to combine, ensuring all the lettuce is coated with the dressing.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately in individual bowls or plates. Optionally, garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper.
