Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Puff Pastry

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to fit a 9-inch tart pan. Carefully place the pastry into the pan and trim the edges. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent it from puffing up.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, toss the sliced pears with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped sage leaves. Make sure the pears are well-coated.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Tarte

Arrange the pear mixture evenly over the puff pastry. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.

  4. 4

    Bake the Tarte

Place the tart in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the pears are tender.

  5. 5

    Serve

Let the tart cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature with a dollop of chantilly cream on top.
