Prepare the Pesto

Make the Basil-Walnut Pesto
In a food processor, combine basil leaves, walnuts, garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until finely chopped. While the processor is running, gradually add olive oil until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Cook the Salmon

Prepare and Cook Salmon
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season salmon fillets with lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Place the fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spoon the prepared basil-walnut pesto generously over each fillet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
