Method

Baking Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the gluten-free flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cakes

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Cool the Cakes

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.

  7. 7

    Serving

Serve slices of the gluten-free chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top or on the side.
