Preparation Instructions
- 1
Make Butterscotch Custard
In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and cornstarch. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly until it thickens.
- 2
Add Flavorings
Remove from heat and stir in butterscotch pudding mix, Maker's Mark bourbon, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 3
Cool the Custard
Allow the custard to cool for about 30 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- 4
Prepare Graham Crumble
In a bowl, combine graham wafers and melted unsalted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
- 5
Layer the Pudding
In a glass dish or individual serving cups, layer sliced bananas, butterscotch custard, and graham crumble. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
- 6
Top with Whipped Cream
Finish with a layer of whipped cream on top of the final layer of pudding. Optionally, garnish with additional graham crumble.
- 7
Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the banana pudding for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
