Turkey Burger

Cranberry Aioli

Brown Gravy

Method

Turkey Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Form the turkey mixture into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Cranberry Aioli Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Aioli

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, cranberry sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic until smooth. Set aside in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Brown Gravy Preparation

  1. 5

    Make Roux

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Prepare Gravy

Gradually whisk in the beef broth and soy sauce, stirring continuously until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Toast Buns

Toast the pretzel buns lightly in the same skillet used for the turkey patties.

  2. 8

    Assemble Burgers

Place a turkey patty on the bottom half of each pretzel bun, top with a slice of provolone cheese, and allow to melt slightly.

  3. 9

    Finish Assembly

Add crispy onion straws on top of the melted cheese, drizzle with warm brown gravy, and spread a dollop of cranberry aioli on the top bun.

  4. 10

    Serve

Place the top bun on the burger and serve immediately.
