Method
Burger Preparation
- 1
Cook the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the certified Angus beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Break apart the beef with a spatula as it cooks.
- 2
Prepare Filling
Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess fat and let it cool slightly. In a bowl, mix the cooked beef with pimento cheese until well combined.
Assemble Spring Rolls
- 3
Prepare Spring Roll Wrappers
Lay out one spring roll wrapper on a clean, flat surface, with a corner pointing towards you.
- 4
Fill and Roll
Place about 2 tablespoons of the beef and pimento cheese mixture in the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly to seal.
- 5
Repeat
Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Fry the Burger Cigars
- 6
Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 7
Fry Rolls
Carefully place the spring rolls in the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary, until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 8
Drain
Remove the fried spring rolls and drain on paper towels.
Prepare Chili Garlic Aioli
- 9
Mix Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, chili garlic sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Stir until smooth.
