Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Shape Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to help them cook evenly.

Cook the Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 4

    Grill or Fry

Using the same skillet or on a grill, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese (optional)

If using cheese, place a slice on each burger patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. Place the bottom half of the bun on a plate.

  2. 7

    Stack Ingredients

On the bottom half of the bun, add the lettuce, cooked burger patty (with or without cheese), tomato slices, crispy bacon, pickles, and any desired condiments like ketchup and mustard.

  3. 8

    Complete the Burger

Top the burger with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately and enjoy!
