Steak and Marinade

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, cornstarch, and water until smooth. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the beef steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the steak is marinating, slice the green onions and mushrooms.

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Grill for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the desired doneness is reached. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  5. 5

    Grill the Vegetables

In a grill basket or on a piece of foil, add the sliced mushrooms and green onions. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt. Grill for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.

  6. 6

    Combine and Serve

Slice the grilled steak into thin strips (julienne style). Serve the steak with the grilled mushrooms and green onions on top, drizzling some remaining marinade over the dish if desired.
