Escargots de Bourgogne Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, thyme, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Escargots

If using canned escargots, rinse them under cold water and drain. If using fresh snails, clean them thoroughly and cook them in boiling water for about 5 minutes, then drain.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Escargots

Place one escargot in each compartment of an escargot dish or in a small baking dish. Generously spoon the garlic butter mixture over each escargot, ensuring they are well covered.

  4. 4

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake the escargots in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the butter is bubbling and slightly golden.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven and serve immediately, preferably with crusty bread to soak up the delicious garlic butter.
