Method

Preparation of Ribs

1

Season the Ribs

Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C). In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder together. Rub the mixture all over the pork ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.

2

Cook the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on the grill or in a baking dish. Cook them low and slow for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender. If using a grill, you can add wood chips for extra smokiness.

Preparation of BBQ Sauce

3

Make the BBQ Sauce

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well mixed.

4

Simmer the Sauce

Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.

Finishing the Ribs

5

Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are tender, brush a generous amount of the BBQ sauce over the ribs. Allow them to cook for an additional 15-20 minutes on the grill or in the oven, basting occasionally with more sauce.

6

Serve

Remove the ribs from the grill or oven. Let them rest for a few minutes before cutting them into portions. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
