Tartare

Serving

Method

Tartare Preparation

  1. 1

    Dice the Ahi Tuna

Using a sharp knife, cut the Ahi tuna into small 1/4-inch cubes. Make sure to use fresh, sushi-grade tuna for the best flavor and texture.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Dice the avocado into similar 1/4-inch cubes as the tuna.

  3. 3

    Mix the Tartare

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced Ahi tuna and avocado. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, finely chopped green onions, chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Gently fold the ingredients together to avoid mashing the avocado.

Serving

  1. 4

    Plate the Tartare

Spoon the Ahi tuna tartare mixture into a serving bowl or onto a plate. Ensure it is evenly spread out.

  2. 5

    Serve with Tortilla Chips

Arrange the tortilla chips around the tartare on the plate. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshness of the ingredients.
