Method
Prepare Rice Mixture
- 1
Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Add Arborio rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- 2
Sauté Vegetables
In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, sautéed onion and garlic, frozen peas, grated Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Form and Bread the Suppi
- 4
Shape the Mixture
Take a small amount of the rice mixture (approximately 2 tablespoons) and shape it into a ball or oval shape.
- 5
Coat the Suppi
Roll each rice ball first in all-purpose flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure each ball is evenly coated.
Fry the Suppi

Fry the Suppi
Carefully add the breaded rice balls to the hot oil, working in batches if necessary. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
