Panna Cotta Base

Method

Prepare Panna Cotta Base

  1. 1

    Bloom Gelatin

In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over 2 tablespoons of cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.

  2. 2

    Heat Cream and Milk

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.

  3. 3

    Add Gelatin

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

  4. 4

    Pour and Chill

Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or ramekins. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Prepare Spiced Pear Topping

  1. 5

    Cook Pears

In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the diced pears, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pears are tender and caramelized.

  2. 6

    Add Maple Syrup

Drizzle the 3D Valley Farm maple syrup over the cooked pears and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat.

  3. 7

    Serve

Once the panna cotta has set, top each serving with the spiced pear mixture before serving.
