Preparation of Topping

Prepare the Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil and Garlic
Chop the fresh basil leaves and mince the garlic cloves. Add both to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

Season the Mixture
Add the balsamic glaze, salt, and black pepper to the tomato mixture. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Slice the Bread
Cut the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush each bread slice with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.

Top the Toasts
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let them cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each slice of toasted bread.

Serve the bruschetta immediately with extra balsamic glaze drizzled on top if desired.
