Cocktail
Garnish & Rim
Method
Prepare Glass
- 1
Rim the glass
Run a fresh lime wedge around the outer rim of a rocks or coupe glass (or the inner edge if you prefer). Spread the coarse sea salt on a small plate and press the moistened rim lightly into the salt to coat. Set the glass aside.
Make Cocktail
- 2
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 1 cup).
- 3
Add 1.5 oz Lunazul Blanco tequila, 0.5 oz Banhez mezcal, 0.75 oz triple sec, and 1 oz fresh lime juice to the shaker. If you prefer a slightly sweeter balance, add 0.25 oz agave syrup.
- 4
Cap the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted. Shaking both chills and dilutes the drink to the correct balance.
- 5
Strain the cocktail through a fine strainer (or the shaker strainer) into the prepared salt-rimmed glass over fresh ice (or serve neat in a chilled coupe if preferred).
- 6
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim or floated on top.
Serve
- 7
Serve immediately. Encourage guests to sip and enjoy the smoky mezcal note balanced by bright lime and orange from the triple sec.
