Margarita Mix

Method

Margarita Mix

  1. 1

    Juice limes

Juice fresh limes until you have 6 fl oz of lime juice (about 6-8 medium limes). Strain to remove pulp and seeds.

  2. 2

    Measure and combine spirits

Measure 10 fl oz Lunazul Blanco Tequila and 4 fl oz triple sec. Pour both into a large measuring pitcher or mixing jug.

  3. 3

    Sweeten and dilute

Add 2 fl oz simple syrup (or agave nectar) to the jug, then add the 6 fl oz fresh lime juice. Add 6 fl oz cold water to adjust dilution so the finished volume fits the 32 oz jug and tastes balanced.

  4. 4

    Chill the mixture

Stir the mixture thoroughly for 20–30 seconds until the sweetener is fully incorporated. Taste and adjust: add an extra 0.5–1 fl oz simple syrup if you prefer sweeter, or 0.5 fl oz water if too strong.

Garnish & Serving

  1. 5

    Prepare the jug

If rimming the glasses or the jug mouth, pour the coarse salt onto a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rims, then dip rims into the salt. Fill the 32 oz serving jug about three-quarters full with lots of ice (roughly 32 oz by volume).

  2. 6

    Assemble the margarita

Pour the chilled margarita mix over the ice in the jug. Stir gently to combine with the melting ice and ensure even chilling.

  3. 7

    Garnish and serve

Float 4–6 lime wheels or tuck wedges into the jug. Serve immediately in salt-rimmed glasses over additional ice if desired. Provide a spoon or stirrer so guests can mix as ice melts.

  4. 8

    Storage

If not serving immediately, keep the mix chilled in the refrigerator (without ice) for up to 24 hours. Add ice just before serving.
