Focaccia
Method
Focaccia
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy. Add flour, sea salt, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix until it forms a dough.
- 2
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 3
Shape the Focaccia
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Once risen, press the dough into a greased baking sheet, spreading it to the edges. Dimple the surface with your fingers and drizzle with remaining olive oil. Sprinkle with chopped rosemary and coarse sea salt.
- 4
Bake the Focaccia
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before cutting into squares.
