Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Garlic Bulb
Take the garlic bulb and slice off the top 1/4 of the bulb to expose the individual cloves.

Drizzle with Olive Oil
Place the garlic bulb on a piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the exposed cloves, allowing it to seep in.

Add Herbs
Sprinkle the fresh herbs over the garlic bulb for added flavor.

Wrap and Roast
Wrap the garlic bulb tightly in the aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Roast for 30-35 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and golden brown.

Prepare the Sourdough
While the garlic is roasting, slice the sourdough bread into thick slices and set aside.

Extract the Garlic
Using a fork or your fingers, gently squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins into a small bowl.

Mix with Parmesan and Balsamic
Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, grated Parmesan cheese, and balsamic vinegar to the bowl with the roasted garlic. Mix until well combined.

Serve the roasted garlic mixture as a spread alongside the warm sourdough bread.
