Method
Preparing the Burger Sauce
- 1
Make the Special Burger Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Set aside.
Cooking the Burger Patty
- 2
Form and Cook the Patty
Take the ground beef and form it into a loose ball (about 3-4 ounces). Season with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the beef ball in the skillet and smash it down with a spatula to form a thin patty. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side, until a crust forms.
- 3
Add Cheese
Flip the patty and immediately place a slice of American cheese on top. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your desired doneness.
Assembling the Burger
- 4
Prepare the Bun
While the burger is cooking, lightly toast the burger bun in the same skillet until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
Spread the special burger sauce on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top. Add a lettuce leaf, tomato slices, and pickle slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
