Prepare the Coffee
Brew strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, stir in the dark rum or coffee liqueur.

Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

Mix Mascarpone and Sugar
In a separate bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Fold in the Cream
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.

Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Assemble the Tiramisu
In a serving dish, layer half of the soaked ladyfingers on the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.

Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
