Incorporate Eggs
Once the dough has cooled slightly, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract until fully combined.
- 3
Heat Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Pipe and Fry
Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Carefully pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
In a shallow bowl, mix together granulated sugar and cinnamon. Roll the fried churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are still warm.
- 6
Serve
Serve the churros warm with chocolate sauce or caramel for dipping, if desired.
