Clean the Seafood

Rinse the Mexican white shrimp and black mussels under cold water. Remove the beards from the mussels and devein the shrimp if necessary.

Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the house-made crema with ancho powder, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

Cooking

Grill the Seafood

Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the shrimp and mussels to the pan. Grill for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are pink and the mussels are open.

Serve

Plate the grilled shrimp and mussels. Drizzle the ancho crema over the top and serve with lime wedges on the side.
