Place the hanger steak in a resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Make sure the steak is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

Cook the hanger steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature (130°F for medium-rare).

Once cooked, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
