Prepare the Coating
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Make the Buttermilk Mixture
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and the egg until smooth.

Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Coat the Cheese Curds
Dip each cheese curd into the buttermilk mixture, then roll it in the flour mixture until well-coated.

Fry the Cheese Curds
Carefully place the coated cheese curds into the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Serve
Serve the fried cheese curds hot with house ranch and chipotle aioli for dipping.
