Marinade preparation
In a small bowl, whisk lime juice, minced garlic, rehydrated chilaca, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create a bright, spicy marinade.

Marinate the carne asada
Pat the steak dry and place it in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, turning to coat. Let sit 20-30 minutes at room temperature.

Warm tortillas and beans
Warm flour tortillas on a dry skillet until pliable. In a small pot, heat refried beans until steaming and smooth, seasoning with a pinch of salt if needed.

Prep cilantro and salsa
Chop cilantro and set aside. Stir salsa roja in a small bowl to loosen if thick.

Assemble burritos
Lay each tortilla flat. On the center, spread a thin layer of beans, add slices of carne asada, spoon salsa roja, scatter cilantro, and sprinkle minced chilaca. Fold in the sides and roll tightly.

Finish and serve
Optional: grill seam-side down for 1-2 minutes to seal. Slice burritos in half and serve with extra salsa and lime wedges.
