- 1
Chill glass
Place a large white-wine glass or a Copa glass in the freezer for 10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.
- 2
Prepare tools
Gather a mixing glass (or cocktail shaker without shaking), a bar spoon, jigger, vegetable peeler (for cucumber ribbon) and a fine strainer if available.
- 3
Build base
Add the gin, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and elderflower liqueur to the mixing glass filled with a few ice cubes. Stir briskly for 10–15 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the spirit mix.
- 4
Combine with wine
Discard ice from the chilled serving glass. Strain the stirred spirit mixture into the serving glass over 2 large fresh ice cubes. Gently pour the Quinta do Gradil white wine into the glass, then top with the chilled club soda. Stir once gently with a bar spoon to combine — 3 slow turns.

Serve
Serve immediately while cold. Provide a small straw or long spoon for gentle stirring as the ice melts. Recommend enjoying slowly to appreciate the wine's aromatics complemented by gin and elderflower.
