Stuffed Shrimp Crab Cake Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Cake Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, egg, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Crab Cakes

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form them into patties. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until finely chopped but not pureed. Take care not to over-process.

  4. 4

    Stuff the Crab Cakes

Take one crab cake patty, place a spoonful of the chopped shrimp in the center, and then top with another crab cake patty. Seal the edges by pressing them together gently. Repeat with the remaining patties.

  5. 5

    Cook the Sandwiches

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with a little oil. Cook the stuffed crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Toast the burger buns lightly. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a stuffed crab cake, a slice of tomato, and a drizzle of tartar sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the sandwiches warm and enjoy!
