Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking. In a small bowl, mix paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the salmon fillets.

  2. 2

    Blacken the Salmon (optional)

If blackening, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tbs of olive oil. Once hot, add the salmon fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until blackened and cooked through.

  3. 3

    Bake the Salmon (optional)

If baking, drizzle 2 tbs of olive oil on a baking sheet, place the salmon fillets on the sheet, and bake for 12-15 minutes until cooked through and flaky.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Asparagus

While the salmon cooks, trim the ends of the asparagus and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Either roast or steam the asparagus until tender.

  5. 5

    Cook the Quinoa

In a pot, combine 1 cup of quinoa with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the salmon alongside asparagus and quinoa. Garnish with lemon wedges.
