Cook the Macaroni
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook until al dente, about 6-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Make the Cheese Sauce
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Add the cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and cheese sauce. Mix until the pasta is well coated.

Prepare for Baking
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish.
- 5
Add Topping and Bake
Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
- 6
