Impossible Cheesesteak Ingredients

Method

Impossible Cheesesteak Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for about 5 minutes until they become translucent.

  2. 2

    Cook the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet with the onions, season with salt and black pepper, and continue to cook for another 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are browned and softened.

  3. 3

    Cook the Impossible Meat

In a separate skillet, heat another tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the Impossible™ meat, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook for about 6–8 minutes, or until browned and heated through.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Once the Impossible meat is cooked, add the sautéed onions and mushrooms to the skillet with the meat. Mix well and let it cook together for another 2–3 minutes to let the flavors meld.

  5. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Place the slices of white American cheese over the meat and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid for about 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Cheesesteak

Slice the hoagie rolls open lengthwise and fill each roll with the cheesy Impossible meat mixture. Serve hot.
