Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.

  2. 2

    Add Wet Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir gently until a soft dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead it gently for about 1-2 minutes until smooth.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Filling

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. In another bowl, soften the butter to spreadable consistency.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 5

    Roll Out the Dough

Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 6

    Spread the Butter

Spread the softened butter evenly over the rolled-out dough.

  3. 7

    Add the Filling

Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered dough, covering it evenly.

  4. 8

    Roll and Cut

Starting from the long side, carefully roll the dough into a log. Slice the log into 6 equal pieces for the half roll.

  5. 9

    Prepare for Baking

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving space between each roll. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  6. 10

    Bake the Rolls

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Glaze Preparation

  1. 11

    Mix the Glaze

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and drizzly.

  2. 12

    Glaze the Rolls

Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over them while they are still warm.
